The City Council presided over by Óscar Noda confirms the continuity of its three initiatives linked to the Training Programs in Alternation with Employment (PFAE): Home Help, Beautify Yaiza and Anima Yaiza, by virtue of the new subsidy of one million euros obtained by Yaiza from Spain and the Canary Islands to offer training and work to 45 new beneficiaries of the municipality in a situation of unemployment.

There will be 15 people per program, southern neighbors who will have the opportunity to learn and work for eleven and a half months starting in March or April 2025.

“The first experience of this year has been successful in the three areas of action, both in home help and in social revitalization and gardening, there is a high level of satisfaction among the students, the teachers and all the social agents who perceive the services provided by our neighbors who are taking their training and putting what they have learned into practice,” notes Óscar Noda.

It should be remembered that the project also hired a decent team for each of the programs and administrative staff, so in total 60 people are hired by the municipality in its three PFAEs.

“Training is valuable, having a guaranteed source of income while acquiring knowledge is also valuable, and what about being able to reinforce skills in order to enter the labor market by being able to demonstrate experience,” the City Council points out from the areas of Social Services and Employment, in charge of councilors Karina Centeno and Rubén Arca, respectively.

“The City Council made a significant investment in adapting, equipping and making available to the project a workshop warehouse in Playa Blanca, for that we have a healthy Administration, but above all it is fair to thank the commitment of the teaching and administrative staff and the commitment and involvement of the students for the use of all technical and academic resources, highlighting, of course, the financial contribution of the Ministry of Labor and the Canary Employment Service,” concludes Óscar Noda.
