The Yaiza City Council has deposited this Wednesday "33,000 euros" to nine clubs linked to the municipal 'Sports Schools' program, thus complying with the payment corresponding to the third and last period of the 2022-2023 season aimed at covering part of the operating expenses of the entities where more than 800 boys, girls and young people from Yaiza practice the sport of their choice.
Sports activity in the south of Lanzarote continues to rise both in the training and preparation of sports that enjoy less popularity than football or basketball, as well as in the celebration of tournaments and competitions and various events that also boost the local economy. The next event will be on November 25 at the 'Music Race Night' in Playa Blanca, whose registrations are open on the city council website.
