The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, signed this Monday with the company Fieldturf Poligras, S.A. the contract of 459,000 euros by which the adjudicator commits to the supply and installation of the artificial turf of the Yaiza football field and provision of buried benches, with a term of execution of three months and establishing five years of guarantee from the day following the signing of the supply receipt.
“The current turf was inaugurated at the end of 2015, it already has imperfections and demanded its total renovation, so we had a municipal budget item to undertake its full replacement and provide the installation with buried benches to favor the visibility of the fans”, explains Óscar Noda.
Children and young people train and compete in the southern field from the Municipal Football School managed by the Unión Sur Yaiza club, as well as the youth and regional categories and the first team that competes in the Second RFEF after achieving promotion last season.
“It was a commitment acquired with the Yaiza football family and especially with our boys, girls and young people, who, like the adult categories, will be able to enjoy better benefits for the practice and competition of football eight and football eleven”, notes the Councilor for Works and Sports of Yaiza, Ángel Lago.
The intervention contemplates the removal of the existing turf and the replacement of a new one of 45 mm in height, on an elastic base of the playing field complying with the specific regulations for this type of sports infrastructures. The project includes the necessary civil works for the execution of buried player benches with VIP-type seats and a bench with two seats for the field delegate of the same style.
The technical specifications also describe the removal of the current fence to proceed with the installation of a new galvanized steel one buried in the ground with concrete. In the length of the fence there will be several entrance doors for maintenance vehicles and emergency services.
The company also commits to the supply and installation of 10 solar Led streetlights with photovoltaic panels (including booms) and a totem-type bank or post, with a stainless steel structure, for electrical charging of portable devices outdoors with completely autonomous electrical supply, with solar photovoltaic installation, with night lighting and a cover that protects devices and users from the weather.
