The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the first deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, on behalf of the corporation, invite citizens to participate and enjoy the New Year's Eve party 2024 and welcome 2025 that will be held on December 31 from 11:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. on January 1 in the Plaza del Varadero, Puerto del Carmen.
The celebration will feature the music of DJ Ángel Pérez and the Los Conejeros quartet, so residents and visitors will have the opportunity to dance to all kinds of rhythms by the sea. The fireworks from Avenida de las Playas are scheduled for 1:00 a.m.
José Juan Cruz confirms that "Puerto del Carmen is one of the best places to start New Year's Eve, both for its festive atmosphere and for the great offer of restaurants and pubs. From the town hall, all the departments involved have been prepared so that the party after the chimes continues its course with guarantees of fun and safety."
Christmas Race and Youth Party
The Christmas celebration continues these days in the municipality of Tías with the Christmas Race scheduled for tomorrow, December 28 at 5:30 p.m. from the Plaza de las Naciones; and with the celebration of the Youth Party in the Plaza El Pavón from 8:00 p.m.
The Puerto del Carmen Christmas Race has 434 registered participants and the modalities are 5 km running or walking, 1 km children up to 16 years old inclusive, from 100 to 500 meters by age and children under 12 years old inclusive and volunteers.
The Youth Party, which will take place in the Youth Space of Tías, will close the activities organized for the young people of the municipality since December 7 on the occasion of the celebration of Christmas. The trophies of the ping pong, 3 x 3 basketball, foosball, billiards and Fifa tournaments will be awarded, and DJ Ángel Pérez will perform.
