The Tías City Council has put out to tender the improvement of public lighting in Puerto del Carmen, with a budget of 329,541.77 euros. This action, which covers from Plaza de las Naciones to Matagorda beach, is part of the "municipality's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency".
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, highlighted that "this legislature will turn the City Council into one of the most sustainable institutions in Lanzarote, thanks to the numerous projects to improve, change and renovate public lighting." These initiatives will not only significantly reduce the municipal electricity bill, but also reinforce the municipality's commitment to the fight against climate change.
From the City Council and the Contracting area, "local companies are encouraged to participate and present their proposals, thus promoting collaboration with the island's business fabric." In addition, they can find all the information on the Tías City Council website in the contractor profile and can submit their applications until December 30 of this year.
This project adds to other actions already underway, such as the renovation of public lighting in La Asomada and Conil, as well as in various streets of Puerto del Carmen, "reaffirming Tías' objective of moving towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly model".
