Now, New Generations of Lanzarote has appealed "to democratic responsibility" and have defended "the individual freedom that assists all affiliates who want to run for the autonomous presidency, as well as the democracy that must prevail in every election process that takes place within the political formation." In addition, it emphasizes that "any pronouncement that is made in this sense from NNGG of Lanzarote will be preceded, as it always has been, by a prior debate and decision-making from freedom and internal democracy."
In his press release, the island president of NNGG, Juan Rivera, asks for "prudence" and shows "the most absolute respect to each and every one of the candidates who aspire to preside over the party in the islands." According to Rivera, the PP "is a party where democratic values prevail and that is deeply respectful of all those who aspire to lead the project in the future, hence we firmly defend the contribution and debate of ideas as a healthy exercise of enrichment for all."
