The Teguise City Council continues with its Traffic Plan, which includes the renewal of vertical road signage elements and repainting of horizontal signage, as well as improvements in safety and accessibility on the main roads of the municipality's towns, including lowering sidewalks and crosswalks to optimize mobility.

"The Mobility and Traffic area is advancing in this sense through rural areas, modernizing the set of signs, because their maintenance and renewal is essential if we want to ensure the lives of pedestrians and drivers," said Councilor Eugenio Robayna, who visited, together with the Mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, several points where the company with a current contract is carrying out several actions, which have been resumed in Costa Teguise, from Avenida de Las Palmeras to Los Ancones, as well as in the towns of Soo, Muñique and Tiagua, especially in school areas, and streets of Tahiche such as Tomás Iriarte and Tirso de Molina.

"It is the municipal responsibility to maintain the roads in good condition to contribute to the reduction of accidents, and we will continue to review the roads where deteriorated, broken or faded signs are detected," says Betancort, "but we also insist on the importance of communicating incidents through the channels that the City Council has open," recalls the Mayor of Teguise in reference to the Teguise Green Line App (enabled for the management of direct incidents), or other channels of communication between citizens and administration, such as the Citizen's Mailbox, available on the website teguise.es or through the Immediate Intervention Operation of the Councilor of Roads and Works, at 689 64 75 69.

Eugenio Robayna announces that "the next interventions will be carried out in the town of Guatiza and other streets of Tahiche", but insists that "the roadmap of this Traffic Plan will be subject to the priorities communicated to us by the residents of each area." "In addition, we are waiting to award a project worth 600 thousand euros in collaboration with the Cabildo, for accessibility, mobility and repair of sidewalks in the educational and health area of Costa Teguise," added the councilor.
