The Tourist Centers have requested authorization to undertake the restoration of the six Devils that welcome visitors to the Timanfaya National Park, and that are installed in the vicinity of the access taro to the Islote de Hilario and on the margins of the LZ-67 road.

The iconic logos designed by César Manrique in the 70s, made of iron and wood, present "a notable deterioration" due mainly, according to the Centers, to "their age, their continued exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions and human action."

Among the planned actions are "the restoration of the emblematic sculptures, the cleaning and sanitation of the wooden elements, proceeding to their sanding, burning and anti-woodworm treatment; the painting of the letters of the engraving "Timanfaya National Park" and the restitution of the stones fallen from the bases where the sculptures are located."

"We continue working to recover the shine and restore the splendor to César Manrique's work," said the CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo.
