The Tías City Council received this Monday the project of "Expansion of niches in the cemetery", a work awarded for 45,500 euros with IGIC financed by municipal funds.
The works executed by the Tías City Council have allowed the creation of 48 new niches in the northern area of the cemetery, near the entrance to the cemetery.
According to the project, "in the section of the niches, these will be executed in the gardens of the northern area of the cemetery, since the location is the least harmful for the execution of the works, and since it shelters the environment of the cemetery without breaking the harmony of the building."
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the head of the Cemeteries area, Pepa González, have been monitoring the completed works, which respond to the future needs of the municipality.
