STEC, one of the main unions calling the second day of strike in Lanzarote for substitute teachers, estimates the follow-up of the call to be above eighty percent. The impact of the second day of strike has been much greater than that of Tuesday, which was estimated between twenty percent and sixty percent, according to various sources.

About two hundred teachers gathered this morning at the doors of the Cabildo. A commission of the strikers was received by the president, Pedro San Ginés, who informed them that he will wait for the result of tomorrow's meeting of the General Table of Public Function so that the Cabildo can promote a motion of support for the strikers, as other councils have done.

In some schools there have been difficulties for the normal functioning of classes, such as at the IES Playa Honda, at the CEIP Benito Méndez Tarajano in Arrecife or at the Colegio de Arrieta, with a significant follow-up of the strike. ACN Press has not been able to contact the Island Education Office to find out its version of the strike follow-up.

In Lanzarote this Thursday, the third day of strike is also called, which coincides with the rest of the islands where the strike is planned to coincide with the meeting of the Public Function Board in Tenerife, where the withdrawal of the so-called decree law will be discussed.
