The PSOE, on San Ginés' complaint against the prosecutor: He has added the most appalling ridicule to his disloyalty

The Socialist Party has accused the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, of "disloyalty" and "lack of democratic culture", who last August filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office against the prosecutor of the Stratvs case, Ignacio Stampa. After learning about the news published this Wednesday by La Voz de Lanzarote, the PSOE affirms that San Ginés sent that letter "behind the backs" of the Plenary, despite the fact that he raised the complaint "in the name and representation" of the Cabildo, and without informing the one who was then his government partner either.

"San Ginés has added the most appalling ridicule to his disloyalty, since his complaint has been dismissed without concessions", states in a statement the secretary of Institutional Policy of the PSOE, Marcos Hernández, thus referring to the information transferred to La Voz from the State Attorney General's Office, which has confirmed that the complaint was rejected "outright".

In the opinion of the socialists, "if the president's intention was to act on behalf of the Cabildo, he should have transferred the matter to the Plenary for debate and not act, once again, behind the backs of the representative body of Lanzarote society" by presenting that complaint. "The arrogant and overbearing attitude of the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, is reaching unimaginable limits, given that he has ended up confusing his person with the institution", denounces Marcos Hernández.

"He has positioned himself on the side of particular interests"

In addition, the PSOE emphasizes that Pedro San Ginés "has lost all legitimacy to manage the territorial and environmental planning of Lanzarote, since he has systematically positioned himself on the side of particular interests and against the general interest". In his complaint, also signed by the Minister of the Environment Francisco Fabelo, the president of the Cabildo denounced an alleged "serious fault" and requested "measures" against the prosecutor of the Stratvs case, in which the main defendant is the businessman Juan Francisco Rosa.

For the Socialist Party, "this new exhibition of absence of democratic culture of San Ginés is intolerable, which responds to a personal interest of the nationalist, but which he intends to pass off as a management aimed at the general interest".

Hernández also recalls that when San Ginés filed the complaint, last August, "the PSOE-CC pact was still in force, without the socialist councilors being informed of such a decision." "And he acted in the same way during the lawsuit for the Cueva de los Verdes, when he tried to involve the EPEL of the Tourist Centers as an affected party, without previously meeting with its Board of Directors," he adds.
