The PSOE of Tinajo has described as "inoperative" the municipal government of the Canarian Coalition (CC) that presides over the mayor Jesús Machín, since "it does not approve budgets or convene plenary sessions."
The Socialist Group in the City Council has pointed out that, despite having an absolute majority and all its councilors released in the present mandate, the government group "has not yet been able" to approve the budgets for the years 2022 and 2023.
"Negligence" of the government and "wear and tear" of the mayor
The socialist spokesperson, Begoña Hernández, has criticized that despite the fact that the mayor "has been announcing for weeks" that he will raise the new budgets to the plenary session, the year 2022 has concluded, that of 2023 has begun and the government group "continues without approving", not even initially, the new accounts of the current year, when it comes to "a fundamental tool" to develop the projects and investments that the town needs.
This situation, for Hernández, evidences "the negligence" of the government team and "the wear and tear" of Machín to face the problems that Tinajo has, which can become "a great burden" for the future of the municipality.
In addition to "regretting" that the residents have to "settle" for a municipal budget approved in 2021, the spokesperson has also criticized that the town hall "has skipped the ordinary plenary sessions since last October."
"Tinajo has been four months without holding an ordinary plenary session," says Hernández, "and it is very sad that the government group does not have substantial proposals and relevant issues to debate, with the many needs that the municipality has," she concluded.
