The Teguise City Council already has a new government. The mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, closed an agreement with the PSOE this Thursday, after dismissing the councilors of the PP. In addition, the distribution of areas is already closed.
Thus, the spokesperson for the PSOE in La Villa, Isabel Martín, will from now on be in charge of the areas of Parks and Gardens, Cleaning, Waste and Environment. For his part, the socialist councilor José Domingo Morera will be in charge of the departments of Employment, Local Development Agency, Agriculture and Livestock.
For her part, the other councilor that the PSOE has in this institution, Lourdes Cabrera, will hold the Councilorships of Education, Daycare, Street Market, Commerce, Industry, Consumption, Classified Activities and Sanctions.
Before the breakdown of the pact between CC and PP, which was announced on Thursday afternoon, the popular ones held the areas of Health, Social Welfare, Sports, Industry, Consumption, Development, Transportation, Communication, Tourism, Beaches, Classified Activities, Discipline and Sanctions.
The mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, has called a press conference at 11.30 am at the Teguise City Council to explain the breakdown of the pact with the PP, which he dismissed from the government group this Thursday, and the new agreement with the PSOE.
