The Canarian Socialist Party of Lanzarote has considered the pact between ATI-CC and Partido Popular "absolutely shameful". What they describe as "the pact of the losers", they say is nothing more than "a mere distribution of power, economic perks and official cars, consisting of keeping a very large payroll of cronies in their positions at the expense of public money who support ATI-PP and a few PP henchmen." The Socialist Party maintains that during the fourteen years that ATI-CC and PP have governed the Canary Islands, Lanzarote has suffered "absolute marginalization" in the form of "budgetary punishment, zero investment in infrastructure and continuous deterioration of public services".
The PSC of Lanzarote calculates that ATI-CC and PP have systematically denied Lanzarote 25,000 million of the old pesetas in funds. Finally, the Socialist Party of Lanzarote has insisted that "it will remain in constant vigilance and will denounce each and every one of the abuses that ATI-CC and PP are planning against Lanzarote".
