The Assembly of the PSOE of Arrecife supported on Tuesday night by a large majority the proposal of candidates to the capital City Council presented by the secretary of the Local Committee and head of the list, José Montelongo. Of the 76 votes cast in the ballot box, 73 accepted the candidacy, two rejected it and only one vote was cast in blank.
The list headed by José Montelongo is completed by Pedro Viera, Francisca Toledo, Víctor Sanginés, Eva de Anta, Alberto Morales, Cristina Duque, Jaime Guerra, Inodelvia Torres, David Duarte, Natalia Delgado, Isaías González, Ana Curbelo, Enrique Martín, Susana Noda, Marcial Rodríguez, María Dolores Fajardo, Juan Manuel Guerra, Margarita Gámez, Cristian Caleri, Bibiana Tavío, Yeysi Rodríguez, Esperanza Martín, Emilio Tavío and Pablo Reyes. The three substitutes are Andrés de León, Josefa Torres and Carlos Martín.
In his speech, Montelongo stressed that "this is a list that accommodates different generations and different profiles, in order to combine the most varied sensitivities. Youth and experience, training, honesty and common sense characterize this proposal".
The island secretary of the Socialists of Lanzarote, Carlos Espino, closed the event with a congratulation to the Assembly of Arrecife, "which after the period of organization under a management team, was activated under the direction of José Montelongo, won the last municipal elections and is in a privileged position to repeat the results on May 22nd".
