The Canarian Socialist Party of Lanzarote expresses its total and absolute respect for the judicial actions that have taken place in recent times in the Canary Islands, and demands that the rest of the political formations "immediately cease their petty attacks" against the professional independence of judges and prosecutors.
For the socialists of Lanzarote, it is absolutely inadmissible that the leaders of ATI-CC and the PP question the impartiality of the administration of justice and commit "the vileness of accusing the Minister of Justice", Juan Fernando López Aguilar, of instrumentalizing the judicial democratic mechanisms in favor of the PSOE.
"Moral baseness" such as that expressed by the president of the PP, José Manuel Soria, or the president of ATI-CC, Paulino Rivero, questioning the independence of the Justice bodies, is clear evidence for the socialists that "the cases of widespread corruption detected in their parties, such as the Faycán case in Telde or the Las Teresitas case in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, cause them dictatorial delusions and bring out the low passions of profoundly undemocratic individuals."
The PSC of Lanzarote considers that judges, prosecutors and police forces are acting correctly and professionally, as corresponds to a democratic State and the rule of law where the public powers are guaranteed by the Constitution. Likewise, it considers that both ATI-CC and the PP should congratulate themselves on this behavior and not vilely attack the Minister of Justice for purely electoral reasons.
