The councilors of the Popular Party of Yaiza, Juan Monzón and Guayo Rodriguez, have highlighted the complaints that have been occurring due to "the abandonment in which the Government of Óscar Noda maintains the municipal gym and that affects both the lack of cleaning and the obsolescence of some devices and the suspension of classes due to the absence of the corresponding monitor."
To the complaints that have been taking place in this sense for some time, "the enormous discomfort of the users due to the lack of hygiene and cleanliness of the sports area, changing rooms and especially in the toilets due to the breakage of the pumps" is added.
According to councilor Guayo Rodríguez, "recently the facilities spent many days without water because the pumps were out of service, affecting this problem to the toilets and showers, which prevented users from using them normally."
For the Populars, "there is no possible justification for a municipality like Yaiza to maintain public facilities in such a precarious way, especially when they are used daily by dozens of users who also pay punctually for the service." In this sense, they demand the Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, "to take action on the matter and launch an action plan to get the facilities up and running and guarantee decent conditions and a quality service."
