The student-workers of the Training Program in Alternation with Employment (PFAE) La Web de Tías 4.0 are preparing and specializing in innovation and employability in the digital sector. In this context, the classroom is transformed into a fictitious company with its own organizational chart and distribution of responsibilities.

The Councilor for Employment of the Tías City Council, Carmen Gloria Rodríguez, explains that "one of the pillars of the PFAE La Web de Tías 4.0 is the practical approach through the company simulation that allows participants to experiment with the dynamics of business management and organization."

In addition, the student-workers receive visits from prominent professionals from Lanzarote, such as the representative of Solucionet.com, Armando Acuña, the creator of Lanzarote App, Alejandro Delgado, and the head of HGR Design, Helmer Galvis, among others. These sessions allow to know real cases, identify current challenges and trends and establish valuable connections with the sector.

La Web de Tías 4.0 is also distinguished by its applied work in the creation and maintenance of web pages for very diverse clients. Among the projects carried out are pages for other PFAEs and leading associations such as Ars Magna.

Commitment to employability

The most relevant objective of this PFAE is to promote employability. To achieve this, the team has not hesitated to incorporate experts from the sector such as Fran Castro, specialist in web positioning and digital marketing, Delma Duque and Alicia Ramos, technicians from the Lanzarote Tourist Federation, and Vanessa Farraz, trainer on the tools needed for insertion into the labor market.

Thanks to this approach, participants not only acquire technical skills, but also transversal skills that prepare them to integrate successfully into the labor market.
