The Iberia Strike Committee resumed the protest this Sunday, but the effects were minimal and practically went unnoticed. The ground assistance services attended to about 30 flights throughout the day, however, travelers chose not to leave Lanzarote on Christmas Day and that allowed no serious incidents to occur.

The Germans did not come

According to León Fajardo, spokesperson for the Strike Committee, the planes left with 30 and 40 passengers, contrasting with the massive arrival of tourists. Fajardo denounced that Iberia brought the head of the Murcia office to counteract the possible consequences of the strike. In this way, he reiterated, the company again ignores the resolutions of the Labor Inspection. "This time the German workers did not come because they refused to work on Christmas," he said. On the other hand, the four employees that the company had suspended returned to work.
