In addition to filing an administrative appeal against the City Council, they are considering taking their complaints against leisure venues directly to the Prosecutor's Office. They also accuse Luis Morales of alleged "prevarication" in the hiring of subaltern staff.

The Local Police tighten their pressure measures and accuse the City Council of alleged dereliction of duty in processing complaints

The Local Police of Arrecife are serious in their fight to claim a salary increase, which they believe belongs to them by "right". Now, in addition to the administrative appeal they had already announced, they could file more than one complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office for alleged "dereliction of duty by the City Council" as well as for a "presumable prevarication" by the councilor Luis Morales.

In the Assembly held on Monday afternoon, they agreed to request from the City Council the reports and complaints regarding leisure venues that the local agents filed at the time for breach of hours or opening without a license, and that according to the union representative, Narciso Pérez, has not followed its course in the City Council. This complaint would be supported, according to Narciso Pérez, "because recently the Prosecutor's Office has summoned several police officers to report on these complaints, which possibly some neighbor or group has maintained" due to the non-resolution of the breach.

For the union representative it could mean "dereliction of duty", since he assures that "we observe that there are continuous irregularities, even bars without a license that continue to be open and there could be connivance with the accused". According to the unions, they have decided to carry out these measures after the statements of the mayoress of Arrecife, Mª Isabel Déniz, in a media outlet where she accused the agents of "unprofessionalismprofessionals". With these measures, "we want the citizen to know that we fulfill our functions", says Narciso Pérez.

But the alleged irregularities would not stop there because according to the union representative they have echoed a complaint filed by a member of the Works Council who claims that there were "anomalies" in the hiring of subordinate personnel of the City Council. This member of the Committee, who was also a member of the Evaluation Tribunal of the tests carried out for this type of hiring, challenged the procedure at the time.

In addition, they accuse Luis Morales, who was then president of the Evaluation Tribunal, "of influencing the final decision" and therefore of having incurred in a "alleged prevarication". Given this situation, the Local Police, as a member of the City Council's unions, will support this complaint and does not rule out filing it with the Prosecutor's Office.
