The Lanzarote Health Services Management, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has completed the first stage of the humanization project of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. In this first phase, the complete remodeling and adaptation of the waiting rooms for relatives with patients admitted to the ICU service was undertaken, as well as the office in which the Intensive Medicine doctors attend to the relatives and offer them information on the patient's evolution.

This is a broader project that seeks the humanization of health spaces. To this end, in the first stage, the aforementioned areas have been rehabilitated, providing them with new furniture and a welcoming decoration, with the aim of providing a warmer and more comfortable environment for the relatives of the admitted patients and making their stay as bearable as possible.

The realization of this project has been possible thanks to the disinterested donation of the Robinson family, resident on the island of Lanzarote, which has made possible the final adaptation of these spaces.

During the visit to the room, the manager of the Lanzarote Health Services, Raúl Otín, took the opportunity to thank the Robinson family for this donation and their involvement with this project that will help improve the comfort of family members during a patient's stay in the ICU and make hospital admission more pleasant.
