The Haría City Council promotes digital training through free workshops

The Haría City Council, through Ineco RuralTIC, belonging to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, is launching a series of free training workshops in new technologies, aimed at facilitating the community's access to essential digital tools.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, states that this project “is a firm commitment to the progress of our community, ensuring that neighbors, and especially the elderly population, can benefit from the advantages of the digital environment.”

For her part, the first deputy mayor of Haría, Evelia García, emphasizes that digital training “is essential to adapt to the new times and improve both the personal life and the professional activity of the community.”

This initiative, which is part of the third edition of the RuralTIC program, has the main objective of promoting digital inclusion and contributing to the development of technological skills, especially among the elderly population, as well as promoting economic digitization, providing support and advice to the business fabric of the municipality.

 

Training workshops in new technologies

The sessions will take place from Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 29 and will be taught by Ineco RuralTIC professionals. The training program includes a variety of topics, among which there will be a basic digital tools workshop, mainly aimed at the elderly, where they will learn how to use banking applications, use the digital certificate, detect online fraud, request medical appointments and make travel reservations, among other useful skills.
 
Another of the courses will address the risks of social networks and the use of parental control tools, focused on parents, mothers and people responsible for minors, in order to ensure a safe digital environment.
 
On the other hand, a workshop dedicated to tools for job searching will be carried out, designed to help unemployed people access online employment. There will also be a class on basic digital procedures, in which they will be taught how to obtain and use a digital certificate, access the citizen folder, and manage applications in official electronic offices.
 
This plan also includes a course on applications for day-to-day life, such as leisure, travel and health, in which it will be explained how to download and use them. Finally, basic computer tools for companies and freelancers will be taught. In addition, an information desk will be set up every Friday to answer any questions they may have.
 
To participate in any of these activities, interested persons must register before November 15 at the Employment and Local Development Agency of the Haría City Council, by calling 928 835 300 (ext.3), from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Places will be assigned in order of registration. People who participate must attend with a mobile phone, tablet or laptop to carry out the practices during the sessions.
