The committee of the company SALIMPA, the company in charge of collecting solid waste in the municipality of Tías, made up of the Intersindical Canaria and UGT unions, has announced that it will undertake an "indefinite legal strike", starting on the 6th. This measure will affect "all work shifts and the entire staff", according to reports from this committee, which wanted to make it clear that the cause of the strike is as a result of the "breach of the Current Collective Agreement".

The company apologizes "for the inconvenience that said strike may cause to all residents" of the affected municipality and appeals to everyone's understanding for this type of action that "we do not want to take, but that due to the breach of the aforementioned company, there is no other way out".
