The 'Esports Competition' awards 1,500 euros in prizes and 10 qualifications to the best gamers in Arrecife

The second edition of the 'Esports Competition', the most important event in the Canary Islands for electronic sports, and which has once again had the support of the Youth area of the Arrecife City Council, concluded this Sunday the 19th at the Arrecife Civic Center. The event, with a semi-final and final phase, lasted from Friday to Sunday night, "at which time the 1500 euros in prizes were awarded", as well as the 10 qualifications for the best players in the municipality of Arrecife.

The 'Esports Arrecife Competition' is organized by the Department of Youth of the Arrecife City Council, directed by Eli Merino, with the production of Rec Xamaleon and Rec Xamaleon Events, the collaboration of Toshigame and the sponsorship of 'La Gruta del Goblin'. In this electronic sports tournament, according to details from the Arrecife City Council, "the players compete with each other, in the different modalities to be the best on their island, and participate in the provincial tournament."

The Councilor for Youth, Eli Merino, who was accompanied at the awards ceremony by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Eduardo Placeres, highlighted "the magnificent organization of this competition, the high level of the Arrecife players, and thanked all the participants for the good atmosphere and sportsmanship shown in these three days of the Esports Competition."

Best Tekken 7 Player from Arrecife: Raúl Calderón, revalidating his 2020 title.

Best Super Smash Bros Ultimate Player from Arrecife: Joel Esteban.

Best DragonBall FighterZ Player from Arrecife: Gustavo Martínez.

Best Fifa 22 Player from Arrecife: Pedro Gil, also revalidating his 2020 title.

Best Clash Royale Player from Arrecife: Aimar del Toro, an Arrecife native who also won the 'Esports de la Oliva' in Fuerteventura.

PC Tournament Winners:

Best Fortnite team from Arrecife: Frozen Boys.

Best League of Legends team from Arrecife: Mitox War.

Best CS:GO team from Arrecife: Petisuis.

Best Rocket League Team from Arrecife: Petitsus.

Best Valorant team from Arrecife: Equipo Actimel.
