The Cabildo of Lanzarote has closed this Friday the course of 'Professional Communication Techniques' with which it seeks to increase the skills in this area of the environmental agents of the Institution. The teaching has been given by the Institute of Forest and Environmental Agents S.L.

The course has been promoted by the Environment Area, managed by the counselor Samuel Martín, who stressed this Friday the convenience of continuing to train public personnel to, as is the case, "have the necessary skills and techniques to avoid or solve possible conflicts that may arise in the professional actions they perform in front of the public".

"There is no doubt that good training in Professional Communication Techniques results in minimizing conflicts and problems because they learn self-control dynamics and acquire new skills. When an environmental agent is able to classify and delimit a problematic situation, then he is in a position to control it," Martin explained.

As for the dynamics of this course, the environmental agents addressed the practical assumptions adapted and based on their own environment. The participants have studied current situations that contain information of great interest and constitute one of the bases for the resolution of cases and exercises. The didactic methods used by the teaching staff are based on a practical and active learning, as this is the optimal methodology for a professional such as environmental agents, who develop their activity in a constantly changing and dynamic environment of contact with citizens.
