This Monday, October 11, the school canteen of Colegio de Tahíche began to operate, an infrastructure that has had a cost of close to 600,000 ?, has capacity for 140 diners. The Councilor for Works of the Consistory, Domingo Cejas, verified the operation of this service that can serve about 200 students divided into two shifts.

The minors are assisted by six monitors and three operators in the kitchen. The children are between 3 and 12 years old. At this time, organizational details are being finalized for its subsequent official inauguration

The director of the center, Leonor Hernández, explains that "each child who needs special attention, in addition to being taken into account by all the kitchen staff, is reinforced with a badge that each minor wears with the menu, to avoid errors."

The meals are different according to allergies and limitations due to religious reasons are also taken into account. All menus are designed by nutritionists who carry out a balanced diet weighing calories, variety and vitamin or protein contributions that schoolchildren need.

Likewise, Leonor Hernández is "satisfied with this complement of the center that parents began to demand since 2005, which facilitates the reconciliation of family and work life, but remembers that it is not an obligation of the school, but a complement."
