"They demonized us and we were right." This is how Guillermo Toledo, representative of the workers on the Board of Directors of the Tourist Centers, has expressed himself after learning about the CC's "make-up" of the entity's accounts.
"They have deceived both the population and the workers, because they have used us all these years as if we were the ones who were ruining the company, that we were the bad guys in the movie," Toledo considers. "During all these years the accounts have been made up as much as possible, which we denounced time and time again and they told us it was a lie, that the Tourist Centers have not given a penny of profit for years," said the representative of the workers, who nevertheless stated that he experienced "a little perplexed" the Board of Directors this Wednesday.
And it is that he has revealed that in addition to the 10 million euros that CC left in the Centers for not paying the canon to the Cabildo, there are another four million that are owed "to suppliers and different bodies." In addition, he has stated that of the twelve million euros that the CACT entered from the FDCAN "there are things that were not done well" and that "money also has to be returned now." "And those are also a few million," he added.
"They talk about others selling smoke, but those who have sold such a quantity of smoke have been them, because they said they had profits and that helped them to make an underwater museum, buy a ruined house and, of course, profits that were not real," Guillermo Toledo questioned.
He claims that there were warnings from the auditor for "two or three years"
In this regard, the workers' representative has also revealed that the auditor had already been making "warnings" about the viability of the Centers for "two or three" years. "When the accounts are presented, the auditor issues a report on those audited accounts and always puts a footnote at the end in which he says we have missed this, the company has not provided us with the other, we do not have such a report...", Toledo explained, who has assured that in this sense he had already warned "that there is a Public Limited Company that has not yet been liquidated" and "a series of things" that, if they continue, could mean "closing down" the company.
"That as a company they saw little viable that it could continue. That is what it says in their reports, in the final footnotes, and the truth is that this is incredible, because they came out saying that they had had two million euros in profits, but not that they had not paid the canon," he said.
In addition, with respect to the canon that the Centers had to pay to the Cabildo, Guillermo Toledo has assured that "they budgeted one thing and the reality was another." "They budgeted, for example, that the canon was 1.7 million, but in reality it is five that is given to the Cabildo," he explained.
"And then the data from the other day, that after demonizing us, they went to the Castle, and they ate their fill and said that the blame for the losses in hospitality was on the workers," Toledo added, in relation to the 750,000 euros that the Cabildo owes to the Centers for catering services during the Government of San Ginés. "They have been deceiving us and in reality the management has been null," insisted the representative of the workers.
