The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers announce that they will allocate a total of 1.5 million euros during this year 2024 to "contribute to the revitalization of the island's cultural fabric." Vázquez responds in this way to the motion presented by the PSOE that requested the recovery of funding for cultural, artistic and educational activities

From the Centers they explain that "the Income and Expenditure Forecast of the Entity, approved last December, assigned the Department of Cultural Production a budget of 989,300 euros that will be used to launch its annual program, which includes holding workshops, organizing concerts and conferences and setting up exhibitions, among many other activities."

“It is the visibility of our firm commitment to a sector closely linked to our reason for being,” said Vázquez, “the best mechanism we have to continue building culture for the population of Lanzarote.”

III Call for cultural projects

The remaining 500,000 euros correspond to the agreement signed with the Culture area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote to execute the III edition of the Call for cultural projects, an initiative that will “give visibility to the work of emerging artists and contribute to continuing to build the path for established creators.”

“These are real and verifiable figures, neither smoke and mirrors nor financial makeup exercises to try to confuse and deceive public opinion,” concluded Vázquez.
