The Cabildo of Lanzarote will acquire the Casa del Cabrerón and the old Post Office headquarters, as announced by the president of the institution, María Dolores Corujo, during the presentation of the budgets for 2023.
"I would also like to highlight two important acquisitions that will be carried out by the Historical Heritage area, the old Post Office headquarters and the Casa del Cabrerón," Corujo announced.
"These are two important properties located in Arrecife, the island's capital. I think we will all agree on the extraordinary importance of the administrations acquiring this type of property to guarantee its conservation and also to make it available to the public," added the president.
The Casa del Cabrerón will be acquired for 665,942.53 and, "pending finalization, will be used for equipment for the Valterra neighborhood, which completely lacks this type of facility." As for the Post Office building, it will cost 2,536,147.80 euros and will be "used for the Sea Museum."
