The Cabildo renews the transfer of the sports facilities of the IES Blas Cabrera Felipe

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, held a meeting this Monday with the Island Director of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, Celeste Callero, to renew the transfer of the sports facilities of the IES Blas Cabrera Felipe of Arrecife.

This agreement allows the use of these facilities by the Island Council, during non-school hours, for sports-educational activities. The agreement will be valid for four years and may be expressly extended for up to four more years.

The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, expressed her satisfaction with this agreement. "The objective is to improve the efficiency of public management for the benefit of the people of Lanzarote; that is why from now on this space can be used by this institution for educational activities during non-school hours," she said.

For her part, the island director of Education of the regional government, Celeste Callero, recalled that "this agreement does not imply any additional cost for the signatory administrations, thus complying with budgetary legislation and financial sustainability."

The space will be used for projects that contribute to the achievement of essential capacities and basic skills, through formal and non-formal integration in non-school periods, including holidays and school vacations.
