The Cabildo of Lanzarote has allocated 59,462 euros for the implementation of 43 continuous training actions, focused on the areas of human resources, legal-administrative, economic and budgetary, developed last year.
The president of the island institution, María Dolores Corujo, explains that this initiative demonstrates the Corporation's commitment to the professional growth and sector experience of workers. "The data reflect a progressive increase in the number of places offered over the years, from 900 in 2021 to 1,072 in 2022," she highlights.
For the president, "the reception that these courses have had demonstrates the interest in learning shown by the officials, which translates into greater productivity and benefits for the island." In this line, more than 50% of the beneficiaries of the program value the training carried out and the level of knowledge acquired.
For her part, the island councilor for Human Resources, Isabel Martín, highlights the participation data. She also believes that in certain areas efforts should be increased to meet social demands.
"Tourism is one of the great sources of wealth of Lanzarote and, in line with this reality, the number of places offered should be increased for future language programs," Martín notes.
