The Cabildo of Lanzarote has awarded the company Alquifer, S.L. the works of conditioning and improvements in the surroundings of La Isleta de La Santa. The amount of the award amounts to 228,766 euros, which will be financed by the tourist infrastructure plans (PIT) of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The Minister of Public Works of the Cabildo, Antonio Morales, explained that the works will begin "in the coming weeks" and will consist of the resurfacing of the existing road between the Emerlan headquarters and Club La Santa and the extension of the existing public lighting line.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through its Investment Plans, also plans to carry out a second phase of this project, also charged to the tourist infrastructure plans of the Government of the Canary Islands. With this second phase, valued at 100,000 euros, the intervention will be completed with sidewalks and fencing to the access area to the Isleta.
