The Cabildo of Lanzarote has appointed Francisco Marco Guillén as accidental inspector of Heritage, after the first island institution dismissed Manuel Perdomo last Thursday as head of this area.
As explained by the Cabildo, the dismissal of Manuel Perdomo is due to the "situation of illegality" of the position he held, for two decades, as an honorary official, according to the report of the General Secretariat of the Cabildo on honorary officials and also to the one issued by the Intervention on the normalization and legalization of the position of Heritage inspector.
According to these reports, the staff of officials and the budget of the Corporation include, respectively, the already created position of Heritage inspector, "so it is consequently recommended to cover it, according to the legal concurrence procedures established, on a definitive or interim basis." Therefore, it was proceeded to solve this situation by approving the dismissal of Perdomo in the past ordinary plenary session of the Cabildo.
Now the island institution, while waiting for this position to be filled through the corresponding selective processes, has appointed Francisco Marco as accidental inspector of Heritage, "in order not to paralyze the activity of Heritage, according to the recommendation of both reports," they point out from the Cabildo.
Francisco Marco Guillén is an official of the institution itself and has been assigned to the Heritage Unit during the period from 1999 to 2001. He is a technical architect and has a master's degree in Heritage Rehabilitation from the University of Las Palmas
