The Arrecife City Council has initiated the procedures to request the opening license for several municipal dependencies, including the City Hall itself, which was inaugurated in 1992, and the municipal Archive, both on Vargas Avenue.

The announcement is included in this Wednesday's edition of the Official Gazette of the province of Las Palmas and the license is necessary since the entry into force of Law 1/1998, of January 8, of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, on the Legal Regime of Public Shows and Classified Activities.

According to municipal sources, in the past legislature the process of regularization of municipal buildings began and the license for the municipal swimming pool was requested. Since 2010, activity opening licenses have also been requested for, among others, the Castle of San Gabriel (which will be the Arrecife History Museum), the Local Police Station, the Technical Office, the municipal fish market, the computer workshop and the civic center and the municipal nursery, whose facilities are not yet in operation.
