The mayor of San Bartolomé, Alexis Tejera, has announced the launch of the promotional campaign 'Crazy Summer' as a plan to reform the image of commerce.

The campaign has kicked off with the opening of the registration period for the XI Window Dressing Contest, whose theme is summer. Interested businesses have until July 7 to participate and must register at the electronic headquarters of the City Council or in the General Registry.  There will be three prizes, of 300, 200 and 100 euros and an accrediting diploma, which will be awarded to the "most original and fresh" shop windows that win the contest, a decision that will be announced on July 14, at 13:30 hours, in the courtyard of Casa Ajei.

This year, as a novelty, each participant must record a video in which they explain the inspiring reasons, materials used and the overall idea of the assembly, which will be available on social networks and in each of the shop windows through a QR code.

Raffle of vouchers of 100 euros

The second edition of 'Crazy Summer' starts on Monday, July 5 and will run until August 8 and 10 vouchers of 100 euros will be raffled. For every 10 of purchase, customers can get a participation for the draw in the shops attached to the promotion.

San Bartolomé is once again committed to sustainable consumption and the reduction of paper in its actions, being a 100% digital campaign. Registrations can be made via QR and from the website www.comerciosanbartolome.com. The City Council highlights that the prizes are achieved thanks to the contribution made by the more than 90 companies from all over the municipality that participate, recalling that those who wish to do so are still in time to join.

Based on the importance of the communication of businesses and their promotions, a campaign will be carried out on social networks, making known the people who are behind each business in order to bring them closer to the clientele that is behind each brand.

The Councilor for Commerce, Alma González, highlights that "the aim is to activate and promote local commerce with campaigns that make purchases more attractive and reinforce the global brand image of Comercio San Bartolomé, making the customer, both regular and visitor, have a pleasant shopping experience in order to retain them." She also conveys her gratitude to all the establishments and businesses that have been actively involved in this campaign, as well as to the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the Department of Commerce.
