The San Bartolomé City Council has announced that from this July 14, and until August 28, the deadline for applying for transport and accommodation aid for the 2021-2022 academic year is open, which includes an item of 260,000 euros.
From the Consortium they explain that two lines of aid are established for the call: the first dedicated to covering transport, with an amount of 300 euros, and the second destined for accommodation expenses, which can reach up to 700 euros.
Both subsidies will be compatible with each other, so students who meet the required requirements may receive up to 1,000 euros in subsidies. In addition, these aids are also compatible with other types of aid from public or private organizations.
Isidro Pérez explained that the City Council “had already progressively increased the allocations in recent years, thus showing its intention to set the amount that students in the municipality can access at 1,000 euros”.
“This call is great news, since from the Consortium we are aware of the difficulties that families with students have and we believe that these aids can help them to develop their studies”, says the mayor.
“It is a fundamental objective on the part of the San Bartolomé City Council to give all possible support to the young people and students of the municipality, so carrying out this acquired commitment to raise the amount of aid to 1,000 euros is a great step to alleviate families with students in the municipality”, adds Isidro Pérez.
The City Council also points out that transport and accommodation aid for the 2021-2022 academic year may help “more than 300 young people in the municipality”. “In these times of difficult economic situation, we believe that this aid is even more necessary to be able to support all the young people of San Bartolomé to be able to develop their studies”, says the Councilor for Education, Alma González.
The application and documentation may be submitted through the General Registry of the City Council in San Bartolomé or in the Municipal Offices of Playa Honda, from 08:00 to 13:00 hours, or through the electronic headquarters through the website www.sanbartolome.es.
