The road surface reinforcement works on Avenida de Naos and the LZ-101 road in the municipality of Arrecife have already been completed. This is a section of road of approximately 1,400 meters, which runs from the intersection of the Rambla Medular to the intersection with Avenida de Naos, and which, according to the Cabildo, "presented significant deterioration in its asphalt due to the high density of road traffic in this area."
The work, which was awarded by the Cabildo de Lanzarote to the company Lanzagrava SL, represents an investment of 180,915 euros and is included in the Tourist Infrastructure Plans of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The Councilor for Public Works of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Saray Rodríguez (PP), who supervised the works this Sunday together with several technicians, was "very satisfied" with "the speed of these works that have allowed this section of road to be open to traffic today, Monday."
Rodríguez also pointed out that "the surface of this road was in very poor condition due to the enormous road traffic that this road supports daily, as it connects the Port of Arrecife with the center of the capital and its most important tourist and commercial enclaves, such as the Charco de San Ginés or the Marina de Arrecife."
