They have been uploaded to Facebook for days, but this Friday, the photos of the PP leader, Mariano Rajoy, in a well-known bar in Arrecife have opened a debate in the media throughout the country. In addition to media from the Prisa group, [ the Cope network has also echoed this->http://www.cope.es/ocio/10-12-10--rajoy-de-juerga-por-lanzarote-a-la-espera-de-un-avion-224932-1] of these images, posted on the Facebook profile of the Buzos Bar, stating that "the national president of the PP was in a pub in Lanzarote during the early hours of Saturday, while the Government announced the declaration of a state of alarm due to the air chaos caused by the controllers."

Precisely because of this air chaos, Rajoy had to spend the night on the island, since his flight was also cancelled. Thus, both the PP leader in the Canary Islands, José Manuel Soria, and other party leaders, accompanied Rajoy. They all had dinner in a hotel and then took a walk and "visited several local establishments in the area", according to what they have explained to the Cope network from the Popular Party.

As the network points out on its website, "the PP leaders of the Canary Islands have played down the matter" and state that "Rajoy spent the night aware of the chaos", while the national PP "does not comment on the private life of its leaders".
