Agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Haría have come this Thursday to La Cueva de Los Verdes - which, due to the strike, remains open only for visits with private agencies and tour operators - following the complaint that the capacity is being exceeded in this tourist center. "There are more than 500 people inside without any security," denounce from the Works Council, which has requested the presence of the agents.

According to the president of the Committee, Antonio Bonilla, the capacity of La Cueva is 400 people, but "there are many more." "Now the company has realized that we have called the Civil Guard and as the buses arrive, they stop them. And until a group leaves, they will not let another one in," he says, pointing out that if it had not been for that, the situation would be even worse.

At around 4:30 p.m., police and Benemérita officers entered La Cueva to count the tourists inside. And as confirmed to La Voz from the Committee itself, that count has yielded a balance of 300 people. However, they assure that just before the police entered, four groups had left, so they will also file a complaint.

In addition, Civil Guard agents had also had to go to this Tourist Center an hour earlier, according to the Works Council, due to the fall of a man.

"He made a wound to his head, precisely because of the insecurity inside," says Antonio Bonilla, who says that "an incident" was opened and the Civil Guard "took note of the bus where the man was going and took a statement from the guide, asking for his identification" as responsible. "The ambulance was called, but the colleagues were able to cure him here, they bandaged his head because he was bleeding," says the union representative.
