Just 6 months after the last municipal elections, Opción por Lanzarote is "very unhappy" with the management of the current CC government group in Tinajo, which it describes as "poor and insufficient". "Citizens are amazed to hear negative news day in and day out," the party says.

The completion of the Tinajo to Tiagua road "is constantly delayed", says Opción por Lanzarote. "Week after week its completion is promised in 15-20 days, only to systematically fail to deliver. Access to the surrounding farms has not yet been completed and there is no date for its completion," the party adds, which believes that, in this respect, there has been "no coherent and specific project that took into account the real needs of Tinajo, and that throughout its execution has been a constant and permanent improvisation".

Another issue that Opción por Lanzarote refers to is the budget item planned for the Health Center in Tinajo. A budget item "that CC has been constantly announcing and promising" and that "has been cancelled", according to the party. "Nobody knows when the residents of Tinajo will have decent and much-needed facilities," says Opción por Lanzarote, which says it is aware of the current economic situation, but also "that health care is an absolute priority, and it is not acceptable that the municipal government group of CC should allow what rightfully belongs to the residents of Tinajo to be taken away".

Regarding the news that the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) have reached an agreement with the Yaiza City Council to pay the entire debt, Opción por Lanzarote expresses its surprise that Tinajo "is not able to reach a similar agreement to collect that outstanding debt equally".

"In short, the management of the municipal government group does not please or satisfy the citizens of Tinajo, who are increasingly outraged by the poor results of a political group that has an absolute majority in the City Council, which governs in the Cabildo of Lanzarote and in the Government of the Canary Islands".

Opción por Lanzarote states that they have supported the measures taken by the City Council that they have considered "necessary and good", such as the recent seizure of the garbage collection service. "We have not carried out a destructive opposition, of saying no to everything, but quite the opposite, with responsibility and seriousness for the interests of the municipality, but we are seeing that the government group is neglecting its obligation to work hard in the defense of Tinajo. Our attitude will also be in the future to collaborate in what we consider positive for the residents and to denounce what goes against the interests of the residents," they conclude.
