One of the daughters of the former mayor of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes, was released on charges from the Arrecife Courts shortly before 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, after testifying before the judge investigating the case for the alleged plot for the massive granting of illegal licenses.

Beatriz Reyes had been detained for three days, after being arrested last Wednesday along with her father, her mother and two of her siblings, one of them in Barcelona.

The four members of the family detained in Lanzarote have appeared in court this Saturday, and during the day they will be testifying before the magistrate and the prosecutor, to determine the situation of each of them.

During the morning, both Beatriz and her mother, Antonia Torres, testified, although she was still in the Arrecife Courts, awaiting the magistrate's decision. Both she and her children would be accused of an alleged crime of money laundering, while José Francisco Reyes is also charged with bribery, urban planning prevarication, embezzlement of funds and influence peddling.

A dozen relatives waited from early hours at the doors of the Courts. The judge has made a recess in the statements, which have been resumed after 5:30 p.m.
