New Generations (NNGG) of the Canary Islands held this weekend, at the local headquarters of the Popular Party of the municipality of Tías, the meeting of the Autonomous Executive Committee, chaired by Sergio Falcón, the highest person in charge of NNGG of the Canary Islands.
Falcón thanked each member of the Executive for their work, while reiterating to his entire team to continue "working and echoing the concerns and problems of young people on each island." "With effort, work, perseverance and a spirit of self-improvement, they will not be able to stop us," he stressed.
The president in the islands of NNGG and Saray Rodríguez, president of the PP youth in Lanzarote, also pointed out that the young people of the Popular Party are "with their batteries more than charged, full of energy and enthusiasm to win this race that has its goal on May 22, with José Manuel Soria as President of the Government of the Canary Islands and Ástrid Pérez, in the Cabildo of Lanzarote".
On the other hand, the Executive positively valued the pace of work and the contributions generated after the designation of this Executive Committee of the young people of the Canarian PP, who have achieved high affiliations, making the Canary Islands the seventh Autonomous Community in all of Spain in number of affiliates within NNGG.
The leader of the PP in Lanzarote, Ástrid Pérez, pointed out, about this meeting, that young people "have a lot to say and contribute to the progress of the islands and the country".
Meanwhile, Saray Rodríguez, president of NNGG in Lanzarote, recalled that unemployment, "one of the biggest social scourges in our country", affects 43 percent of young people. Faced with this, she pointed out, "we must act to put managers capable of creating the ideal framework where new employment is generated and not destroyed at the head of public administrations".
From NNGG they encouraged to actively participate in the XIII National Congress of NNGG, which will be held in Zaragoza on April 15 and 16, in which the Canary Islands will have 66 delegates out of a total of 900.
