The former socialist councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Miguel Ángel Leal, was arrested this Monday within the framework of the third phase of Operation "Unión". Leal, who currently works for the Arrecife City Council, was at the time responsible for the area of Waste and Classified Activities in the first island institution.
In addition, Manuel Spínola, who works as a Classified Activities engineer in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, has also been arrested. In fact, this department of the Cabildo has also been searched by the agents, in the presence of the arrested engineer.
