"What is certain is that there was neither an attempt to slip in a bicycle invoice, nor did I say those words to Domingo García." This is how the Local Police Councilor of the Arrecife City Council, Jacobo Lemes, has stated, after the councilor of Alternativa Ciudadana, Domingo García, declared before the judge that the "rumor" about this invoice from the PSOE advisor, Cristian Caleri, was confirmed to him by him in his office.

After learning of García's statement, who is charged with an alleged crime of slander and libel, Lemes has admitted that he is "concerned" and, therefore, will meet with his lawyer, because he is observing that the defense of the AC councilor is based "on some words that I have not said." "I am quite concerned and I have a meeting with my lawyer to see what we can do," Lemes said on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, opening the possibility of a possible lawsuit against García, which, however, he did not want to confirm.

Lemes, who has been summoned and will testify as a witness, has indicated that he will relate this same thing before the judge. "When I am in front of the judge, I will say it like this," he affirmed, assuring that he "did not say those words." Lemes has insisted that "after messing up," the AC councilor cannot "hide" behind him, "much less."

"Everyone always joins the boat. If we see the people who have joined or the person who joined... I don't want to make any more comments," he indicated on Radio Lanzarote. And it is that, in his statement before the judge, García not only mentioned Lemes, but also referred to two other alleged witnesses, to whom, according to him, the Police Councilor confirmed the same story about Caleri's bicycle invoice.

One of them is a host of a local radio station, Pedro Martín, and the other, a Local Police officer, Narciso Pérez. Jacobo Lemes has spoken about Pérez, who has explained that the agent has "three files open right now," which he must direct as Local Police Councilor.

Lemes has assured that he has spent a long time, "more than a year and a half or two years," without speaking to Narciso Pérez. "I don't know what he intends, nor am I worried, honestly. I have to talk to my lawyer and we will make a decision," said the councilor who, however, has already advanced that even if he files a lawsuit against García, he will not make it public.
