Lanzarote Avanza has denied forging the signature of a Nueva Canarias affiliate to include him in their candidacy for the Tinajo City Council, as the alleged victim denounced before the Courts and the Electoral Board. "It's absolutely false," said the president of Unidos por Yaiza, Gladys Acuña, who stated that they have "initiated the corresponding legal actions" in this matter.
And, although the Nueva Canarias affiliate denounced in the Courts that "someone" had "to forge the sworn statement required by the Electoral Board" with his "personal data" and his "signature," denying any connection with Lanzarote Avanza, Acuña has assured that he "signed and submitted the documentation correctly" to be part of the candidacy of the coalition formed by Unidos por Yaiza and PIL.
"And how curious that the complaint comes from the party whose lists for Tinajo and Yaiza have been rejected by the Electoral Board," Acuña pointed out, thus attacking Nueva Canarias, whom she has accused of trying to "tarnish Lanzarote Avanza".
