The Arrecife City Council has published this Tuesday the distribution of areas of the municipal government for the current legislature. After this Saturday, the agreement between the Canarian Coalition and the Popular Party culminated with Astrid Pérez assuming command of the city, it has already been announced who will be in charge of each councilorship.

The new agreement carried out between both political formations removes the power over the Local Police from the nationalists and leaves it in the hands of the popular Yonathan Jesús de León, who will also be in charge of the Public Works Area.

Those of the Popular Party will direct Mobility and Transport, Project Unit and Subsidies through Mario González Altube; as well as Acts and Events, Sports, Activities, with Juan José López at the head. Elisabet Merino will be in charge of Tourism, Commerce and Human Resources; while Roberto Herbón will take Parks and Gardens and finally Security and Emergencies, Archive and Statistics, Infractions and Sanctions, Patrimonial Responsibility, Environment and Beaches will be managed by Kevin Moisés Cortés Villalobos.

Likewise, the councilor of the Socialist Group of Lanzarote, José Montelongo will be responsible for the Department of Technical Office, Urban Planning and Urban Discipline.

Also for the nationalists will be the areas of Cleaning, Health and Animal Welfare, Cemeteries, Fisheries and Primary Sector, which will be managed by Jacobo Lemes. Meanwhile, Echedey Eugenio will be in charge of Finance, Contracting, Festivities, Carnival Board and Internal Regime; Education and Culture will be directed by Abigail González Guillén, the councilorship of Social Welfare, Equality and Immigration will be carried out by María Matilde Corujo; Maciot Cabrera will be responsible for Participation and Citizen Attention, Transparency, Employment and Local Development Agency, New Technologies and Housing; and to conclude, Rosmen Quevedo will be responsible for Youth and Seniors.

In addition, Echedey Eugenio will be the first deputy mayor of Arrecife; Yonathan Jesús de León the second deputy mayor; Jacobo Lemes the third; and Juan José López the fourth.
