Jóvenes Ciudadanos (Jcs) Canarias has thanked this Sunday "the contributions that the Canarians have made to their campaign to collect toys and food in the archipelago", which has taken place on islands such as Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma.
In this sense, JCs Canarias has once again valued "the solidarity of the Canarians", since many "have shown their willingness and have collaborated in this campaign".
All the toys and food collected will be donated to the Red Cross Youth and the Food Bank.
In this regard, the Secretary of Youth of Ciudadanos, Melisa Rodríguez, recalled that "an agreement has been reached with the Red Cross youth and the Food Bank to deliver this collection".
"Social activities are an essential part of our project," said Rodríguez, who explained that "these are actions that aim to promote solidarity."
"More than 6,000 young people will participate in the Jcs project at the national level," she added, and recalled that this initiative "adds to the social activities that take place during the year, such as the cleaning of forests and beaches this summer or the collection of school supplies last September."
