The PP councilor in the Teguise City Council, Jonás Álvarez, has denounced the "apathy and negligence" of the government group with the Local Police of the municipality, who claims to have received their "complaints" about the situation in which the vehicles in which they have to patrol are.

"Smooth tires, even on wires, rust on supports, wear on interior utensils...", lists the councilman, who has sent a note through his personal email from the Consistory, making public the images that reflect damage both inside and outside the patrol cars. "These images demonstrate the neglect of those who watch over our safety, not only putting the image of the Local Police force in doubt, but even the safety of the agents themselves," he warns.

"It is sad that the agents themselves have to denounce these situations, which even prevent them from performing their function in the best conditions," laments the councilman, who believes that the mayor, Oswaldo Betacort, "should focus once and for all on Teguise, a municipality that has been suffering from neglect and apathy for a long time, even now in municipal security itself."

Jonás Álvarez demands a "rapid action" from the government group on this issue, pointing out that "problems do not solve themselves, nor do we have to wait for another administration to solve them."
