The vote count for the Tinajo Town Hall has concluded, with an overwhelming victory for Jesús Machín, who obtained 59.61 percent of the votes. Although he loses a councilor compared to the 2007 elections, CC will govern again with an absolute majority in the municipality.
Thus, the candidacy headed by Jesús Machín has obtained 9 councilors and a total of 1,585 votes, while in the previous elections he achieved 1,733 votes and 10 councilors.
For its part, the PSOE has lost a councilor, going from 3 to 2, with 13.31 percent of the votes. The socialists have achieved 354 votes.
The two councilors that CC and PSOE lose have gone one to the PP and another to the PNL-Option for Lanzarote alliance. Specifically, the populars have achieved 258 votes, which represents the support of 9.70 percent of the electorate, while Option for Lanzarote, which was running in this Town Hall together with the PNL, has obtained 262 votes, which represents 9.85 percent of the votes.
In this Town Hall the participation has reached 66.67 percent, for which a total of 2,726 people have deposited their ballot. Abstention has been 33.33 percent, there have been 67 null votes and 85 blank votes.
