"Either the Cabildo gives me a solution to the Tinajo road, or I will call the people to block the work." This is what the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, said to Radio Lanzarote's microphones, who assures that the works being carried out are "a mess".
According to Machín, jable slopes are being left on the sides of the road that, in some places, exceed two meters. "That with the wind will end up destroying everything," said the mayor of Tinajo, who also stated that, as a result, damage is being caused to the neighbors' farms. "Now with the rains, they have destroyed a farm, because they are making a mess on the edges and I am not going to allow it," Machín specified.
The mayor of Tinajo stated that he already met two weeks ago with the Councilor for Public Works of the Cabildo, Fabián Martín, but that, for now, he has not given him a solution. For this reason, Machín will request an urgent meeting for next Monday. "If I don't have an answer on Monday, I will take the measures I have to take," Machín concluded.
